EMPA ISAP 2008. International ISAP Symposium on Asphalt Pavements and Environment

The International Society for Asphalt Pavements (ISAP) is the only world-wide organization to promote technology transfer for flexible pavements. Known for its high quality International Conferences on Asphalt Pavements (ICAP), such as the 10th ICAP 2006 in Quebec, Canada, ISAP has also started sponsoring International Symposia that are focused on selected topics, e.g. Symposium on Design and Construction of Long Lasting Asphalt Pavements 7th-9th June 2004 in Auburn, USA. The next Symposium scheduled for 18th-20th August 2008 in Zurich, Switzerland, follows this line. It is devoted to Asphalt Pavements and Environment in order to show and discuss where asphalt pavements can more actively contribute to an environmentally friendly, sustainable development and a more harmonic, resource preserving way of life where roads will continue to play a major role in fulfilling human mobility needs. It will also serve as a trigger event for a new ISAP Technical Committee on Re-use and Sustainability of Asphalt Pavements.
