Colombia definitely got off to a good start in 2009. The Ministry of the Treasury and Public Credit confirmed that Colombia’s economy has registered positive occurrences for the first 40 days of the year, a fact worth highlighting especially considering the global financial crisis has only worsened in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Contrary to other countries, Colombia is better prepared to face the crisis and its authorities have taken the necessary measures and made the structural changes essential to maintaining investors’ trust in the Nation’s economy.
